In partnership with our trade client, Stefanie Bour, we supplied the exceptional Italian furniture and bespoke rugs for this Hampstead project recognised by SBID International Design Awards.
When interior designer Stefanie Bour approached us to collaborate on this Hampstead family home, the vision was ambitious: transform a series of dark, uninspiring spaces into a cohesive environment that balanced sophisticated elegance with the practical demands of family life.
The project needed to work hard - accommodating a household of five whilst maintaining a distinctly grown-up, refined aesthetic. Natural stone would anchor the design, with layered textures, rare veneers, and sculptural luxury lighting creating depth and warmth throughout.
Our role? To source and supply the Italian furniture, statement lighting, and exceptional finishes that would bring Stefanie's design vision to life. The result; a Contemporary Boutique Redesign project that was recognised by the International Design & Architecture Awards 2025.
Natural stone commands this space. Not through volume, but through sheer presence.
At the heart of this designer kitchen sits a striking stone island, the kind of rare material that stops you mid-step. Surrounding it, hand-carved textural panels and richly grained timber cabinetry add layers of warmth and visual intrigue. Fluted glass details catch and diffuse light in unexpected ways, whilst liquid metal accents introduce a subtle contemporary edge.
The lighting deserves particular mention. Invisible by design, it creates atmosphere rather than announcement. Soft, enveloping, endlessly sophisticated. The sort of illumination that makes you want to linger over morning coffee or evening wine in equal measure.
Our Italforma bar stools bring Italian craftsmanship to the island, precision-engineered metalwork paired with hand-selected leather upholstery that develops character over time. It's the sort of seating that invites lingering, whether over morning coffee or evening aperitifs.
Rather difficult to believe this began life as a storage cupboard.
What was once forgotten square footage is now a fully realised cocktail bar: impeccably detailed, beautifully crafted, and designed for the sort of evenings that stretch long into the night.
Working alongside Stefanie and our partners at Extreme Design Furniture, we explored multiple design directions, refining proportions and testing finishes until every element felt exactly right. Installation day brought plans and samples into three-dimensional reality, always a moment of quiet anticipation.
Now, the space speaks for itself. Sculptural, sophisticated, and genuinely inviting. A place to gather, to celebrate, to slow down, one perfectly poured drink at a time. From overlooked cupboard to statement centrepiece. Transformation done properly.
Moving from the kitchen into the living room, the mood shifts subtly from energised to enveloping.
Our substantial Marac sofa in customised fabric complements the natural stone tones carried through from the kitchen, whilst carefully selected Laskasas accessories create an intimate conversation area. It's luxury that actually works for family life: comfortable enough for lazy Sunday mornings, sophisticated enough for evening drinks.
This is a space designed for living in, not just looking at.
Summing up, this Hampstead residence proves that family life and sophisticated design need never be mutually exclusive. Through careful material selection and exceptional Italian craftsmanship, our design consultant, Andrei Lee helped bring our trade client's vision to life: a home that works as hard as it looks good.
