Gaas is all about making sculptural artefacts for the modern era.The pieces that are comprised in the collection are all very well thought out and they all represent complex hexagonal, circular, rectangular shapes, all inspired by nature itself. This can be seen in the way colors are used for example: there's no one color fits it all kind of situation here, there's always some kind of gradient that represents how things change their aspect over time or how their inner properties are always following some kind of natural roadmap to somewhere.
There's this feeling of objection towards life's disposition to things and it definitely shows in Gaas's work, which is truly one of a kind. The material that is most used is glass, which really portrays this strong property of change, having to undergo major work before becoming the ultimate representation of itself. Gaas mainly focuses on lamps and vases, but other products such as tables and chairs are to be seen, although they do not represent their main collections, but rather a depart from them.
